Hey everybody!!! This is me again! I think we all know about how Dr. Jerry Weast wants to take away the buses, because of financial reasons. And we have all realized how this will most probably take away our transportation needs, so we can't get to school. :( We may not always appreciate school, but in the end: Good education=Good High School=Good College=Good Job=Good Money.
Bad/Insufficient education=Bad High School=Bad College=Bad Job=Poor Money.
I think we all want to go with the first one. So plz ppl, do something!!! Make a petition, write a letter, email Dr. Weast, who knows, maybe give him a call?
-Thnx,
Sidd

TECHINICALLY... It's not bad education, it's just WAY lower than what we could be getting... It's regular though. Also, examine the position he's in right now. If he does not do something drastic, like cut busses, their budget will fail again and he'll be kicked out. And City Council and State Government are more or less forcing him(and the BoE) to do this... unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I haven't seen my blog in a couple of days...Kevin, aren't you the one who told us to stop him? And anyways, I'm not blaming him. It's just that there are more options that are more logical than to cut down the transportation for the Magnet Programs. Anyways people, here's the bottom line: The Board of Education is cutting away our transportation(buses), while they are probably not aware that not us, but the regular kids' transportation are harming their budget.

Yes, but it is illeagel to refuse buses to the "so-called regular kids" (I don't like calling normies or regulars, just people who don't go to the magnet program is fine with me) so anyway... my point. the law states that you may not refuse buses to non magnet kids as long as they are going to their home middle school. It doesn't say anything about us, so if we are cut it is saving more, because otherwise MCPS will be sued for not providing transportation to non- magnet kids and they will lose money and none of the montgomery kids: magnet, non magnet, special ed, ect. , will get a good education. But still, I wish they had a little more money for us. God, I sound so professional. "So like a totally don't like think they should cut the budget, like, you know?" Ahhh... the average teen talk. Much better :)
